Potassium persulfate is a white, tasteless crystal, often used as a strong oxidant, but also as a monomer polymerization initiator. Almost no moisture absorption, high purity, especially good stability, easy to store, easy to use, safe.

Main Application direction

Potassium persulfate is the initiator of latex or acrylic monomer polymerization solution, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride and other products, but also styrene, acrylonitrile, butadiene and other colloidal copolymerization initiator. As a strong oxidant, it has the following USES:

(1) Used as a depulsing agent and bleaching agent.

(2) It is used for the oxidation and degradation of harmful substances in water in pools and closed circulation treatment.

(3) is the production of starch regulator, and applied in the production of adhesive and paint.

(4) Used for branch chain oxidation, ethanol and aromatic hydroxyl oxidation.

(5) is one of the basic ingredients of hair dye, plays the role of decoloring.

Potassium persulfate is non-inflammable, but it can release oxygen and play an inflammable role. Storage requires attention. First of all, it must be stored in a dry, airtight container, should avoid direct sunlight, heat, moisture and other adverse factors. Secondly, some impurities such as dirt, rust, a small amount of metal and reducing agent may cause the decomposition of potassium persulfate, which should be noted. Because the wet potassium persulfate powder and its aqueous solution have bleaching and slightly corrosive effects, direct contact with the eyes, skin and clothing should be avoided during use.
